Boeing 787 Dreamliner
Your editor had a chance to fly on one of Qatar Airlines 787 from London to Doha just a while ago. As always I requested a window seat not above the wings; to see what is going on. I am still a very curious flyer and like to see the oceans and rivers and mountain below as we are passing by. This picture was taken over Iraq. The combination of light and atmospheric condition at 41,000 feet made for a very unique picture. As for flying on the 787 Dreamliner: it is nice. In comparison to the 777, the 747s and the A340, the 787 Dreamliner is much more comfortable; a recommended flight.. The in-flight entertainment was excellent, you can tell I liked the larger windows of the 787, and my row mates, two young Chinese women off to work in Doha, could not have been more gracious. The service on Qatar Airlines was as always, impeccable. I do hope that my routes in the future will be serviced by more 787s.
But truth be told, first class on a MD-80 is still better than coach on a 787.
