FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions

HOW CAN I WAIVE MY MEMBERSHIP FEES?

If you contribute sufficient materials and content to the IDDO to demonstrate your expertise in Due Diligence and help us grow as a resource, on case by case basis we will waive your membership and possibly recertification fees.

DO I HAVE TO RENEW MY CERTIFICATION?

The whole purpose of holding higher standards for our certification is to ensure that you know the latest and greatest processes for Due Diligence. As such certification is for a one year period. There is an annual renewal fee, and a continuing educational requirement. In general this is a short online lecture and test.

ARE THERE ANNUAL DUES FOR MEMBERSHIP?

Yes, we charge an annual fee for each membership in order to fund the continuing growth and development of IDDO. Check out the pricing on the actual membership page.

With fines, lost profits, and even criminal charges as consequences for failing to do your proper due diligence, the question isn’t why you need IDDO, but rather can you afford not to be in the know?

WHY SHOULD I CARE, AND WHAT DOES IT DO FOR ME

If you make decisions on a daily basis, from investing your money, buying property, strategizing over a clients situation, or just what to trust – then you will benefit from a better understanding of Due Diligence and our repository of information, case studies, white papers, and certifications.

WHAT? I THOUGHT EVERYONE ALREADY DID DUE DILIGENCE?

You have heard of Bernie Madoff, a man that stole hundreds of millions, not from everyday people but the wealthiest and some of the most successful people in the world. How do criminals like this succeed? And how is it with all of our technology and interconnected data and knowledge points are these mistakes still happening? Its happening because we, in general operate under past rules and assumptions. Our methodologies and processes are more often than not limited in scope, both over encompassing of the wrong things and missing the key facts we really should be considering to make better decisions. There currently exist dozens of resources and groups that put forth static and dated concepts of due diligence, but none come close to the comprehensiveness and experience that the International Due Diligence Organization does. And that is because the International Due Diligence Organization was founded to create an evolving resource that brings together the best practices and understanding in all industries, and to bring together the greatest minds to help develop and evolve processes to empower better decision making.
