There are literally hundreds of applications used for Infrared cameras. I have seen them used in farming to check ground temperatures, check sustainable growing conditions, used to heat up old statutes so a picture without the visual grime and decolorization in visible light, check for signatures of forgery in art, collectors’ car engine and exhaust problems and even cheating when playing hide and seek with the kids.
None of us have used this particular model so this is not yet in the product reviews.
But digital FLIR for under $1K – pretty cool.
